In the modern world, sports have evolved into much more than merely recreational activities. They have grown into a significant tool for improving social cohesiveness, personal growth and health. By legally acknowledging sport as a legitimate fundamental right or including it with other basic rights, some nations are demonstrating their growing appreciation of the value of sport in their constitutions. We may comprehend how the value of sport has been more recognized over the past century by looking at the development of the right to sport. Sport has changed from being disregarded and frequently connected to military education and operations to being seen as a critical tool for preventing health issues, fostering social inclusion and combating discrimination of all kinds. Investing one's time or part of everyday life participating in sports has several advantages, including improving mental and physical health and promoting social relationships. To do this, obviously, it is essential to guarantee that everyone may participate in sports without facing prejudice. This dissertation was created with the aim of digging deeper into the notion of physical activity and the right to participate in sports perceived as a fundamental basic entitlement that every individual has, with a particular emphasis placed over the reception it has in the European area.
