After phenomena like colonialism, imperialism and globalisation, all economic and personal relations took global features. Subsequently, also cultural boundaries were weakened and people all around the world have become more interconnected. Therefore, people are in need of a Lingua franca that allows communication at all levels. This study is focused on the spread of English as a global Lingua franca. Many aspects related to the spread of Anglicisms in Italian will be analysed and particular attention will be given to the English-inspired Job titles in Italian.
