In this master thesis will be analysed many data collected by the experimental weather station of Gimillan, near Cogne, situated on a 26° slope facing south-‐east at 1730 meters altitude. Were taken into account five events of snowfall and subsequent melting of the snowpack, comparing the data obtained on the field with the data simulated bi the Snowpack model, in order to confirm its accuracy even in an environment characterized by extremely complex morphologies that lead to specific microclimatic conditions, hence, to difficult and uncomfortable measurement sites for the energy and mass balance analyses
