This thesis explores the multifaceted impact of ESG performance on financial returns, business model innovation, and broader social transformation. By integrating a comprehensive literature review with empirical analysis, the study aims to provide a nuanced understanding of how ESG factors influence corporate financial performance. A statistical analysis of thirty companies is conducted to examine the relationship between ESG engagement and financial performance. The findings suggest that while ESG investments often perform comparably to traditional investments, the relationship is complex and influenced by a range of factors including industry-specific dynamics and the quality of ESG implementation. Moreover, the research delves into the role of ESG in driving business model innovation, demonstrating how companies can leverage sustainability to achieve competitive advantage and long-term growth. This study contributes to the growing body of knowledge on sustainable business practices, providing valuable insights for investors, policymakers, and corporate leaders. It underscores the importance of continued advancements in ESG practices and encourages further research to fully understand the long-term impacts of ESG engagement on financial performance and societal well-being.
