La guerra moderna del III millennio: da conflitto militare a conflitto economico tra Russia e Ucraina

The war between Russia and Ukraine started as a military conflict but it hides historical and economical causes back to its roots. The dissertation analyses the macroeconomic scenario in terms of pre-war and post-Pandemic economy in Ukraine e focuses mainly on the sanctions published by the European Commission that have the aim to fight against the advancement of the war and to weaken the Russian economy. Following, Russian reactions to the sanctions are examined, especially monetary and fiscal policies, and actions to restore the value of the Ruble, Russian currency. Finally, it analyses the macroeconomic consequences for Europe and the BCE projections.

La guerra tra Russia e Ucraina ha avuto inizio come scontro militare ma nasconde tra le sue cause motivazioni storiche ed economiche. La tesi analizza lo scenario macroeconomico pre-guerra e post-pandemia dell’Ucraina e approfondisce principalmente le sanzioni emesse dalla commissione Europea che hanno l’obiettivo di contrastare l’avanzamento della guerra e indebolire l’economia russa. In seguito, esamina le reazioni della Russia, tra cui politiche monetarie, fiscali e azioni per rivalutare il rublo. Infine, analizza le proiezioni macroeconomiche della BCE per l’economia europea.
