CONSUMO CONSAPEVOLE E SOSTENIBILITÀ NEL SETTORE TESSILE E DELL’ALTA MODA

The objective of this thesis is to investigate consumption patterns in the textile and high fashion industry, examine their impact on the environment and society, and understand how to address the new sustainability-related needs. The study relies on a literature review conducted through major academic databases. Additionally, a netnography was conducted to achieve a comprehensive understanding of the factors that most influence this topic. The research findings demonstrate that sustainability is an increasingly influential theme, to the extent that it shapes the contemporary concept of luxury and represents a new quality parameter for clothing items.

L’obiettivo di questa tesi è indagare i consumi nel settore tessile e dell’alta moda, esaminare l’impatto che hanno sull’ambiente e sulla società e comprendere come affrontare le nuove esigenze legate alla sostenibilità. L’indagine si avvale di una rassegna della letteratura, effettuata attraverso le principali banche dati accademiche. Inoltre, è stata effettuata una netnography, al fine di giungere ad una esaustiva comprensione dei fattori che più influenzano questo tema. I risultati della ricerca mostrano come la sostenibilità sia un tema sempre più influente, tanto da caratterizzare la concezione contemporanea del lusso e rappresentare un nuovo parametro di qualità dei capi di abbigliamento.
