Identità tra parole e immagini: confronto tra scritti autobiografici e autoritratti di Frida Kahlo

The aim of this dissertation is to comparate autobiography and self-portrait as instruments to express self-identity, in particular through the analysis of Frida Kahlo's writings and self-portraits. The thesis is divided in three parts: the first one is theoretical, with the studies of the two main topics and their confrontation; the second one is methodological, and explain the reasons that brought me to choose Frida Kahlo's works and the method of the analysis; the last one is the analysis of Frida's writings and self-portraits and their comparison.
