It is in times of uncertainty and unprecedented challenges at global scale that the need for resilient organizations becomes imperative. As world's economies, institutions and ecosystems become more unpredictable, organizations must be able to handle uncertainty and develop a strong capacity for resilience to adequately react to unexpected circumstances and capitalize on threatening events. This study explores the mindfulness-resilience-compassion nexus at play in organizations. Specifically, it provides preliminary evidence of a positive relationship between mindfulness, resilience, compassion and work-related quality of life, through the identification of the contours and consequences of resilience in the workplace. In particular, the role of dispositional mindfulness, both as a predictor of organizational resilience and as a mediator of the relation between compassion and resilience, is determined. Implications for leadership and directions for future research are discussed.

Abstract
Implications for leadership and directions for future research are discussed.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
