Traditional models of research are often limited in the size of all the inputs that markets can provide. Thus, corporations seek to tap from external sources new exploitable ways toward new business models able to provide for financial returns and strategic synergies. Corporate venturing, both internal and external, has been developing, and the second in particular, seesaw in terms of results and corporate commitment. This thesis focuses on understanding CVC best practices since its inception, toward the definition of itself as a replicable tool to generate values for corporates.
