Nowadays, the Moroccan education system has to face a lot of challenges, such as the effects of the country's multilingualism on student's education, the inequality of opportunities for people living in different social contexts (rural or urban areas), the gap between public and private schools and the different methods of teaching. The work begins with a general smattering on Moroccan education system and provides historical information and statistical data which help to depict an overall framework on the past and present situation of the education system in Morocco. The dissertation goes on with a focus on the anthropology of education as the discipline which studies the processes and the transformations of the education system worldwide. The third chapter is about the fieldwork I conducted in February-March 2020 in Morocco, Casablanca. Direct witnesses and interviews collected on the field and at home (using Skype and Whatsapp video calls) demonstrate the reality of data, statistics, strengths and weaknesses of the education system presented at the beginning of the work. In the end, a part is devoted to a comparison between Moroccan education system and other systems of education in the rest of Africa in order to wide the attention of the research on the whole continent. Moreover, the last paragraphs of the work lead the way to the international cooperation field, since the research has been conducted with the idea of establishing some intercontinental contacts.
