Human Rights are the basic rights inherent to all human beings, regardless of race, status, belief and religious affiliations. Given the drastic increase of movements fighting for the rights of a certain sector of the society which is the LGBTQIA+ it is undeniable that the relationship between the LGBTQIA+ and the rest of the society has become a prevalent topic of discussion. This dissertation seeks to identify the dangers and effects of bills pertaining to the LGBTQIA+ community on women, children, families and even as well, to the LGBT community itself. Addressing two specific bills. Scotland’s controversial gender recognition reform bill that was passed in December 2022 and vetoed afterwards by the UK government and the Philippine’s Anti-Discrimination bill, mostly known as the SOGIE bill. Given the raised concerns in placing women in jeopardy by giving access to single-sex spaces, the diminishing parental rights to guide their own children resulting in confusion among children, and the inadequate handling of gender dysphoria and mental health difficulties. In pursuit of the objectives, a descriptive review targeting the perceptions of society regarding the issue and the interventions is conducted. Furthermore, the dissertation develops recommendations for alternative solutions. Keywords: Human Rights, LGBTQIA+, Women, Children, Discrimination, Gender Dysphoria, Mental Health,
