Eco in Barcelona: analisi e progetto di sostenibilità turistica

This thesis describes the conception, the study, the planification and the implementation of a website concerning sustainable tourism in Barcelona. The first topic that was studied was the worldwide environmental situation, which is experiencing tremendous daily catastrophes, and the environmental impact of tourism which has proven to be one of the main causes of climate change. The thesis continues with the explanation of sustainable tourism, which is a valid alternative to standard tourism and the only solution for a development based on cultural, environmental, economic and social respect. Next, the tourism, environmental, governmental and social situation of Barcelona is analyzed in detail, studying its positive and negative aspects. The second main section of the thesis examines, the principal techniques for creating and designing a website (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, Bootstrap). This was followed by an in-depth discussion of the choices made for the website Eco in Barcelona regarding its hosting service (Hostalia), the domain (www.ecoinbarcelona.com), the CMS WordPress and the theme (The7). Finally, after a market, target and competition study and the explanation of the winning methodologies to be used on the Internet (SEO, link building, sharing content), the Eco in Barcelona website and its internal structure was thoroughly analyzed and exposed. The thesis concludes with the presentation of the present and future goals of the project.

In questa tesi viene descritta l'ideazione, lo studio, la pianificazione e la realizzazione di un sito web riguardante il turismo sostenibile a Barcellona. In primo luogo si è voluto studiare l'attuale emergenza climatica a livello mondiale argomentando l'impatto ambientale del turismo il quale è dimostrato esserne una delle principali cause. Successivamente sono stati esposti i punti cardine del turismo sostenibile, valida alternativa al turismo massificato ed unica soluzione per uno sviluppo basato sul rispetto culturale, ambientale e sociale. Viene in seguito approfondita la situazione turistica, ambientale, governativa, sociale della città di Barcellona analizzandone vantaggi e svantaggi. In secondo luogo sono state esposte le principali tecniche di creazione e progettazione di un sito web (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, Bootstrap) approfondendo ed argomentando le scelte effettuate per Eco in Barcelona riguardanti il servizio hosting (Hostalia), il dominio (www.ecoinbarcelona.com), il CMS WordPress ed il tema (The7). Infine, dopo una ricerca di mercato, del target, della concorrenza e delle metodologie vincenti da utilizzare in rete (SEO, link building, sharing content), è stato scomposta ed approfondita la struttura interna dell'intero sito web Eco in Barcelona e definito l'obiettivo presente e futuro.
