The purpose of this thesis is to present a review of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) literature and to analyse the different approaches and implementations adopted by companies. A particular focus is put on the way enterprises communicate their CSR behaviours and efforts: the strategies they apply, the channels through which they reach their stakeholders and the issues and/or problems they face when implementing CSR measures. Eventually, a brief insight about the confectionery company Perfetti Van Melle's CSR policies and documents (including the report that is one of the above-mentioned communication channels) is proposed, with a particular focus on the main ambiguous topics related to the firm's sector.
