In the collective imagination, diversity management is just a branch of human resources, but with this analysis, it will become evident that it is much more. In fact, starting from the history and the various definitions given to the term diversity management, it was possible to identify numerous nuances and possible applications of diversity management in the enterprise. In addition, it was essential to identify strengths, such as inclusiveness and affirmative action, and weaknesses, such as reverse discrimination and radical diversity management, in order to give a more complete and detailed aspect to the analysis of diversity management. Furthermore, an analysis was conducted on the figure of women in business, thus talking about stereotypes, leadership, gender pay gap, also doing a global level analysis, but also female entrepreneurship, concluding by talking about intersectionality, that is, a way of thinking about inequality, and the major focus is on the intersection of race and gender. Its main task is to highlight the need for multiple bases of identity when considering the construction of the social world. In conclusion, the mentioned theory was applied to analyse Accenture S.p.A., a globally known consulting firm. Through this analysis, it was possible to identify what concrete actions the company performs, as well as to find the critical issues that may exist in such a large company and provide some possible future implementations, that can be helpful in the company environment.
