Bòte dal Bàit da le pore: narrativa popolare e temi folklorici attorno alla "baita delle paure" (BS)

The paper first deals with the subject of oral popular fiction, starting with its major exponents and scholars who, over time, have outlined the peculiar characteristics of the genres of the fable, the novella, the short story, the tale and the legend. After providing useful information on the differentiations between the genres, I went on to examine the legends that circulate within a territory as large as Valcamonica, which extends from Lake Iseo to the Tonale, Gavia and Aprica passes, and from here I focused in more detail on the stories that revolve around a locality as small as the one and only hut that inhabits it: Purù and its renowned Bàit da le pore, in the municipality of Ono San Pietro. The stories were collected thanks to the distribution of three different questionnaires, one on hard copy to the inhabitants of the village, one distributed online, in which about one hundred people from all over the Camuno territory participated, and a third one for primary and secondary school pupils, distributed in four different neighbouring localities.

Nell’elaborato viene dapprima trattato il tema della narrativa popolare orale, partendo dai suoi maggiori esponenti e studiosi che, nel tempo, hanno delineato le caratteristiche peculiari dei generi della fiaba, della novella, della storiella, del racconto e della leggenda. Una volta fornite le utili differenziazioni tra i generi, mi sono interessata alle leggende che circolano all’interno di un territorio esteso come la Valcamonica, che dal Lago d’Iseo raggiunge il passo del Tonale, quello del Gavia e dell’Aprica e da qui mi sono focalizzata più nel dettaglio sulle storie che ruotano attorno a una località tanto piccola quanto l’unica baita che la abita: Purù e il suo rinomato Bàit da le pore, nel comune di Ono San Pietro. Le storie sono state raccolte grazie alla somministrazione di tre diversi questionari, uno cartaceo agli abitanti del paese, uno distribuito online, a cui hanno partecipato un centinaio di persone da tutto il territorio camuno e un terzo destinato agli alunni delle elementari e delle medie, somministrato in quattro diverse località limitrofe.
