Il contributo dell’educazione per lo sviluppo emotivo del bambino nei servizi madre-figli

In this script I decided to investigate the importance of the educational work in the development of children in mother-child services, where we are often faced with situations in which the mother-child relationship is compromised. These services are a place of transition for parent-child units, with the aim of personal and social growth of all members, each in their own role. The professionals’ task is to observe, evaluate and plan interventions accompanying the mother in parenting tasks, to achieve autonomy. For the research I submitted an interview to some educators who work in mother-child services, investigating what was the role of the educator in promoting the development of the child, and considering the contextual need to support the mother, without replacing herself with it. The thesis is divided into four chapters. The first, divided into four paragraphs, analyses emotions, what they are, their nature and their functions, to end with the theoretical perspectives underlying their study. In the second one, also made up of four paragraphs, I concentrated the analysis on the child, starting with emotional growth, and then moving on to all developmental phases, with theoretical references on emotional and cognitive development. This chapter continues with the analysis of attachment theory and the role of the parent in the emotional development of the child, basic elements of the topic covered in the thesis. The third chapter, consisting of three paragraphs, describes the path that led to the birth of the mother-child communities, outlining their structure and organization. I dedicate the last paragraph of this chapter to educational work, describing what it consists of and the characteristics of the educational relationship. Finally, the last chapter is dedicated to research and is divided into four paragraphs: in the first one the objectives that guided the work are illustrated, in the second one I speak of the adopted methodology, in the third one I illustrate the results the research produced. In the last paragraph, I interpret the results obtained from the research, relating them to the literature about this subject.

In questo elaborato ho deciso di indagare sull’importanza del lavoro educativo nello sviluppo dei bambini nei servizi madre-figli, dove ci troviamo spesso di fronte a situazioni in cui la relazione madre-bambino è compromessa. Questi servizi sono un luogo di transizione per i nuclei genitore-figlio, con l’obiettivo di una crescita personale e sociale di tutti i membri, ciascuno nel proprio ruolo. I professionisti hanno il compito di osservare, valutare e progettare interventi che accompagnano la mamma nei compiti genitoriali, al fine di raggiungere un’autonomia. Per la ricerca ho sottoposto un’intervista ad alcune educatrici che lavorano nei servizi madre-figli, indagando su quale fosse il ruolo dell’educatore nel favorire lo sviluppo del bambino, e considerando la necessità contestuale di sostenere e supportare la mamma, senza sostituirsi ad essa. La tesi si articola in quattro capitoli. Il primo, suddiviso in quattro paragrafi, analizza le emozioni, che cosa sono, la loro natura e le loro funzioni, per terminare con le prospettive teoriche alla base del loro studio. Nel secondo, anch’esso composto da quattro paragrafi, ho concentrato l’analisi sul bambino, partendo dalla crescita emotiva, per poi passare a tutte le fasi evolutive, con riferimenti teorici sullo sviluppo emotivo e cognitivo. Questo capitolo prosegue con l’analisi della teoria dell’attaccamento e con il ruolo del genitore nello sviluppo emotivo del bambino, elementi base dell’argomento trattato nella tesi. Il terzo capitolo, composto da tre paragrafi, descrive il percorso che ha portato alla nascita delle comunità mamma-bambino, delineandone la loro struttura e organizzazione. Dedico l’ultimo paragrafo di questo capitolo al lavoro educativo, descrivendo in cosa consiste e le caratteristiche della relazione educativa. Infine l’ultimo capitolo è dedicato alla ricerca e si articola in quattro paragrafi: nel primo vengono illustrati gli obiettivi che hanno orientato il lavoro, nel secondo parlo della metodologia adottata, nel terzo illustro i risultati che la ricerca ha prodotto. Nel paragrafo conclusivo, interpreto i risultati ottenuti dalla ricerca, mettendoli in relazione con la letteratura sul tema.
