Blockchain, come fermare l'elusione/evasione fiscale e diminuire il deficit

The study addresses how fiscal policies could influence public debt and explores methods to decrease it by fighting tax evasion and avoidance, exploiting new technologies. The research is divided into two main components, the first chapter establishes a preliminary theoretical foundation based on fiscal policy, debt sustainability and the role of new technologies, such as blockchain, in order to improve tax collection. Conversely, the following chapters provide a practical analysis based on linear regressions to comprehend the impact of different factors on public debt, confirming or challenging the government influence in that matter. Ultimately, the document presents a forecast of the Italian public debt under three different scenarios: good management, Intermediate management, and bad management.
