L’industrializzazione della città di Torino nel decennio postunitario e il ruolo dell’Arsenale Militare

The research will focus on the process of industrialization that occurred in Turin between 1860 and 1870. The study will begin with an analysis of the social, cultural and economic conditions of the city in a period amid 1815 and 1913, following the modern industrialization of the subalpine capital. After the brief historical summary, there will be an accurate exam of the Piedmontese Industry before and after the unification of Italy touching both the private and the public spheres. The latter one will be revealed as the true protagonist of this era, especially thanks to the Military Arsenal of which we will analyze the history of each department along with the suppliers of the "construction" department

La ricerca si focalizzerà sul processo di industrializzazione della città di Torino tra il 1860 e il 1870. Lo studio si aprirà con un’analisi delle condizioni culturali, sociali ed economiche Torinesi in un periodo compreso fra il 1815 e il 1913, seguendo quindi la totale industrializzazione moderna della città. Chiuso l’incipit storico si passerà ad un accurato esame dell’industria Piemontese pre e postunitaria che toccherà sia la sfera privata che quella pubblica. Proprio quest’ultima si rivelerà la vera e propria protagonista di quest’epoca soprattutto grazie all’Arsenale Militare, di cui analizzeremo la storia dei vari opifici e in particolare i fornitori dell'officina di maestranza
