Il dolore dell'analista: da impasse a fattore terapeutico. Punti di congiunzione per un'integrazione fra teorie di campo psicoanalitiche

The text aims at investigating what pertains the analyst's pain in different areas; to do so, the author works on a personal summarizing point of view between Italian post-Bionian psychoanalytic theory and American relational psychoanalysis. The first chapter describes two types of psychoanalytic literature on the subject: an indirect literature, which can be investigated for the history of countertransference, and an a direct literature, definitely much smaller than the first. In the second chapter, the author finds a definition that detaches from the very concept of mental pain and psychic suffering and connects more to the concept of MOID, that is the result of the point of contact between relational psychoanalysis, attachment theory and infant research. The third chapter investigates the extent of the concepts of mental pain and mental suffering in the therapist's experience. What defines whether the experience of the therapist could be identified as mental pain or psychic suffering depends on his fear of suffering and his ways of avoiding it. In the last chapter, the author investigates the general prerogatives for the transformation of pain: attachment relationship and reverie, psychoanalytic empathy, tenderness and therapeutic love. As a result, the ultimate analysis carried out by the author is about the technical devices for the transformation of pain as understood by Antonino Ferro and his way to think about the Analytical Field Theory and by Donnel Stern and his way to think at Relational/interpersonal Psychoanalysis. Pain for the therapist's experience is inevitable and therapeutic since it is necessary to establish a successful relationship that leads towards the well-being and growth of both patient and therapist. The most important elements to overcome the issues created by mental pain for the couple are the help given by supervisory groups made up of trusted colleagues and the therapist's daily general self-care.​

Il testo si propone di indagare ciò che pertiene al costrutto del dolore dell'analista in diversi ambiti, per farlo l'autore ha ritenuto necessario un punto di vista integrativo fra psicoanalisi post bioniana italiana e psicoanalisi relazionale americana. Nel primo capitolo si individuano due tipi di letterature psicoanalitiche riguardo al tema. La letteratura implicita, che può essere indagata nella storia del controtransfert; e la letteratura esplicita, molto più esigua della prima. Nel secondo capitolo si da una definizione che distingue il concetto di dolore mentale da quello di sofferenza psichica e lo si collega al concetto di MOID: risultato dell'incontro fra psicoanalisi relazionale , teoria dell'attaccamento e infant research. Nel terzo capitolo si indaga l'entità dei concetti di dolore mentale e sofferenza psichica nell'esperienza del terapeuta. Si conclude come ciò che definisce se un'esperienza del terapeuta è definita dolore o sofferenza dipende dalla sua paura della sofferenza e dalle sue modalità di evitarlo. Nell'ultimo capitolo l'autore indaga le prerogative generali per la trasformazione del dolore: relazione di attaccamento e reverie, empatia psicoanalitica, tenerezza e amore terapeutico. Successivamente vengono indagati i dispositivi tecnici della Teoria di Campo Analitico per come la intende Antonino Ferro e della Psicoanalisi Relazionale/Interpersonale per come la intende Donnel Stern. Il dolore nell'esperienza del terapeuta è inevitabile ed è un fattore terapeutico poiché necessario a determinare una relazione di successo che porti al benessere e alla crescita di entrambi: paziente e terapeuta. Fra gli elementi più importanti per il superamento delle impasse dovute al dolore si hanno l'aiuto dato da gruppi di supervisione composti da colleghi fidati e la generale cura di sé quotidiana del terapeuta.
