Beni culturali, tutela e valorizzazione: le Residenze Sabaude, luci e ombre di un patrimonio UNESCO

The aim of the thesis is to analyse the effect of the UNESCO label on the enhancement of the Residences of the Royal House of Savoy and whether this award has helped to increase the interest of Piedmontese citizens towards this heritage. The paper is divided into four chapters. The first chapter deals with the enhancement and protection of the cultural heritage. The second chapter examines UNESCO’s role in the protection of cultural property around the world. The third chapter handles the Residences of the Royal House of Savoy and their enhancement, in particular the Hunting Residence of Stupinigi is analysed as a case study. The fourth chapter presents the data obtained during the field research. Finally, I proceed to the analysis of the results and to draw the conclusions of the thesis.

Lo scopo dell’elaborato è analizzare l’impatto del marchio UNESCO sulla valorizzazione delle Residenze Sabaude e se questo riconoscimento ha aiutato ad accrescere l’interesse dei cittadini piemontesi verso questo patrimonio. Il lavoro è articolato in quattro capitoli. Il primo capitolo affronta il tema della valorizzazione e della tutela del patrimonio. Il secondo capitolo approfondisce il ruolo dell’UNESCO nella protezione dei beni culturali nel mondo. Il terzo capitolo è dedicato alle Residenze Sabaude e alla loro valorizzazione, in particolare è stato scelto come caso studio la Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigi. Nel quarto capitolo vengono presentati i dati ottenuti durante la ricerca sul campo. Si procede poi all’analisi dei risultati e a trarre le conclusioni del lavoro.
