Thereby, in this work we employ solid calcium hydride as a powerful agent in the topotactic reduction of the Fe(III/IV) perovskite oxide Sr1-xLaxFeO3-δ to yield Sr1-xLaxFeO2 which correspond highly metastable, mixed valence state of Fe(I/II). In present work was synthesized Sr1-xLaxFeO2 (x = 0.15) by reduction with CaH2 and characterized by several physical methods such as X-ray powder diffraction, Neutron powder diffraction, Thermogravimetry and Mossbauer spectroscopy.

Abstract
