Santa Margherita da Cortona: analisi semiotica della rappresentazione del corpo in agiografie di epoche diverse ​

The thesis analyzes the figure of Margherita da Cortona, in whose life the dualism between earthly life and the search for the divine is clearly present, which is expressed in the relationship with the body, considered at the same time an obstacle and a means for spiritual elevation. After presenting the themes that emerge from the analysis of the story, specific episodes will be examined to highlight the similarities and differences in dealing with these themes in texts of different eras and purposes. ​

Nella tesi è analizzata la figura di Margherita da Cortona, nella cui vita è ben presente il dualismo tra vita terrena e ricerca del divino, che si esplica nel rapporto con il corpo, considerato allo stesso tempo ostacolo e mezzo per l’elevazione spirituale. Dopo aver presentato i temi che emergono dall’analisi della vicenda, saranno esaminati episodi specifici per evidenziare le similitudini e le differenze nel trattare tali temi in testi di epoche e scopi diversi. ​
