The study of communication evolved through the decades and the focus moved from a monolingual prospective bound to a single language seen as a unique global entity to the use that each real individual makes of his own linguistic and semiotic repertoire in a specific timespace. Communication is no longer studied as a theoretical entity but it’s observed through the analysis of real multimodal translanguaging spaces and the actions of the individuals that live in them. In this dissertation I will focus on verbal, written and somatic multimodal communication practices in sports with the aim to highlight them and bring them to the attention of the reader.

Abstract
The study of communication evolved through the decades and the focus moved from a monolingual prospective bound to a single language seen as a unique global entity to the use that each real individual makes of his own linguistic and semiotic repertoire in a specific timespace. Communication is no longer studied as a theoretical entity but it’s observed through the analysis of real multimodal translanguaging spaces and the actions of the individuals that live in them. In this dissertation I will focus on verbal, written and somatic multimodal communication practices in sports with the aim to highlight them and bring them to the attention of the reader.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
