Le insegnerai anche ai tuoi figli e ai figli dei tuoi figli. Storia e analisi del Qol Qore, un sillabario ebraico di Lazzaro Ottolenghi (1858)

In this dissertation we provide an analysis of Qol Qore, an ancient spelling book composed by Lazzaro Ottolenghi in 1858 to teach children to read the Hebrew alphabet. A copy of this book is kept in the Biblioteca e Centro Studi sugli Ebrei in Piemonte ¿Davide Cavaglion¿ in Cuneo. Firstly, we reconstruct the editorial history of our volume, giving also some information about the author. Secondly, we analyse the structure and the content of our book. This spelling book is divided into four chapters: the first and the second show the consonants and the vowels of the Hebrew alphabet, while the third and the fourth explain some simple reading rules. Each chapter has some practical examples and exercises. A digital reproduction of the entire book is given as an appendix, in order to allow readers to compare our study with the original text which our research is based on.

In questa dissertazione si fornisce un'analisi del Qol Qore, un antico sillabario composto da Lazzaro Ottolenghi nel 1858 per insegnare ai babmini a leggere l'alfabeto ebraico. Una copia di questo libro è conservata presso la Biblioteca e Centro Studi sugli Ebrei in Piemonte ¿Davide Cavaglion¿ di Cuneo. Innanzitutto, si ricostruisce la storia editorial del volume, dando anche alcune informazioni sull'autore, poi vengono analizzati la struttura e i conteuti del libro. Questo sillabario è diviso in due capitoli: i primi due illustrano le consonanti e le vocali ebraiche, mentre il terzo e il quarto forniscono alcune semplici regole di lettura. Ogni capitolo è corredato di esempi pratici ed esercizi. In appendice si riporta la rirpoduzione integrale del libro, così da permettere ai lettori di confrontare il nostro studio con il testo originale su cui si è basata la nostra ricerca.
