"Mi concedi un posto nel tuo cuore ma non nella tua vita”. Commento alle Cento poesie d’amore a Ladyhawke di Michele Mari

The thesis analyzes the figure of the author Michele Mari as a novelist and in particular as a poet. After a brief introduction to the life of the author and his literary activity, the writing style and literary topos frequent in his works will be analysed. The thesis is divided into two distinct chapters. The first deals with the figures and characters who have most influenced the writer's literary career, such as famous novelists such as Edgar Allan Poe, Stephen King, Herman Melville and Carlo Emilio Gadda or even directors such as Stanley Kubrick. The fascination of serial killers and vampirism in literature is also examined. The second chapter instead gets to the heart of Mari's poetic activity. His collection of poems One Hundred Love Poems to Ladyhawke is analysed, a poetic collection of one hundred poems addressed to a woman he met in school during high school and then rediscovered by the author thirty years later. The collection contains compositions that have as their main theme that of love between the poet and his beloved who, however, does not reciprocate the feeling. Subsequently, a linguistic and content analysis of some of the aforementioned poems in the songbook is carried out. A comment is made designed to find the literary topoi and what Mari defines obsessions found in the first chapter in the poems.

La tesi analizza la figura dell’autore Michele Mari come romanziere e in particolare come poeta. Dopo una breve introduzione sulla vita dell’autore e sulla sua attività letteraria, saranno analizzati lo stile di scrittura e i topoi letterari frequenti nelle sue opere. La tesi è suddivisa in due capitoli distinti. Il primo tratta le figure e i personaggi che maggiormente hanno influenzato la carriera letteraria dello scrittore, come per esempio celebri romanzieri quali Edgar Allan Poe, Stephen King, Herman Melville e Carlo Emilio Gadda o anche registi quali per esempio Stanley Kubrick. Viene inoltre preso in esame il fascino del serial killer e il vampirismo nella letteratura. Il secondo capitolo entra invece nel vivo dell’attività poetica di Mari. Viene analizzata la sua raccolta di poesie Cento poesie d’amore a Ladyhawke, raccolta poetica di cento poesie indirizzate ad una donna conosciuta tra i banchi di scuola durante il liceo e poi ritrovata dall’autore trent’anni dopo. La raccolta racchiude componimenti che presentano come tema principale quello dell’amore tra il poeta e l’amata che però non ricambia il sentimento. Successivamente viene svolta un’analisi linguistica e contenutistica di alcune delle suddette poesie del canzoniere. Viene svolto un commento pensato per ritrovare nei componimenti poetici i topoi letterari e quelle che Mari definisce ossessioni riscontrate nel primo capitolo.
