Servizi ecosistemici dei suoli di faggeta in relazione al cambiamento climatico

The thesis deals with the ecosystem services provided by the soils of beech and investigates, examining various case studies, how they can change in the future the chemical-physical characteristics of them and consequently how they can be expected to change the benefits provided by them. The final objective of the thesis is therefore to imagine in the future what are the main changes in climate compared to now and how soils can change in their function. Then, we try to imagine and verify, using the studies conducted against these specific ecosystems, how they can change and how they can change the services provided by it to understand how to better manage these environments, in the future strongly affected by climate changes currently underway.

La tesi tratta dei servizi ecosistemici erogati dai suoli di faggeta e indaga, esaminando vari casi studio, come possano cambiare in futuro le caratteristiche chimico-fisiche di essi e di conseguenza come ci si può aspettare che mutino i benefici da essi forniti. L’obiettivo finale della tesi è pertanto quello di immaginare nel futuro quali siano le principali modificazioni del clima rispetto ad ora e come i suoli possano mutare in loro funzione. In seguito, si cerca di immaginare e verificare, avvalorandosi degli studi condotti nei confronti di questi specifici ecosistemici, come possano mutare e come possano modificarsi i servizi da esso erogati per poter comprendere come gestire al meglio questi ambienti, in futuro fortemente coinvolti da cambiamenti del clima attualmente in atto.
