Il contributo del metodo Montessori nell’intervento

The objective of this work is twofold: to deal with the theme of autism, identifying how important observation is and at the same time how important is the role of the family, the school, the territory and professionals but also and above all of their collaboration. . In the paper, an introduction will be made on autism syndrome, its identification and the effects that this entails in the daily attitudes of children. Subsequently we will focus on the central role of the network of experts and non-experts, who live around children, concluding with the presentation of the methods used to propose activities to these subjects. Alongside the proposed methods, we will focus on the Montessori method applied to ASD children and on how this positively affects the development of the child. The choice of the topic of the autism spectrum is given by the fact that working in school with children affected by this disorder, I realize how services, institutions, professionals and the family are of ordinary importance for these subjects in order to support them and lead them as much as possible towards the objectives set. The child with the autism spectrum needs people and environments around him that are suited to his characteristics, habits and preferences. Without this network of subjects, it could not have great successes and developments, and consequently the results would be very poor. Having completed the internship in a Montessori nursery, I decided to explain the effectiveness of the method and the positive effects on the daily life, relationships and learning of children with autism spectrum disorders. As a conclusion to the work carried out, the Montessori method will then be presented, focusing on how to conduct it with ASD children. Subsequently, the recommended practices and the principles of Montessori education will be analyzed, with the related techniques that can be used, as they are very effective and feasible with these subjects.

L’obiettivo di questo lavoro è duplice: trattare il tema dell’autismo, identificando quanto sia importante l’osservazione e allo stesso tempo quanto sia importante il ruolo della famiglia, della scuola, del territorio e dei professionisti ma anche e soprattutto della loro collaborazione. Nell’elaborato verrà fatta un’introduzione sulla sindrome di autismo, sulla sua identificazione e sugli effetti che questa comporta negli atteggiamenti quotidiani dei bambini. Successivamente ci concentreremo sul ruolo centrale della rete di soggetti esperti e non, che vivono intorno ai bambini, concludendo con la presentazione delle modalità utilizzate per proporre attività a questi soggetti. Affiancando le modalità proposte ci concentreremo sul metodo montessoriano applicato a bambini ASD e su come questo influisca positivamente sullo sviluppo del bambino. La scelta del tema dello spettro autistico è data dal fatto che lavorando in ambito scolastico con bambini affetti da questo disturbo, mi rendo conto di come i servizi, le istituzioni, i professionisti e la famiglia siano di ordinaria importanza per questi soggetti in modo da affiancarli e condurli il più possibile verso gli obiettivi predisposti. Il bambino affetto da spettro autistico necessita intorno a lui di persone e ambienti adatti alle sue caratteristiche, alle sue abitudini e alle sue preferenze. Senza questa rete di soggetti, non potrebbe avere grandi successi e sviluppi, e di conseguenza i risultati sarebbero scarsissimi. Avendo svolto il tirocinio in un nido Montessori, ho pensato di spiegare l’efficacia del metodo e gli effetti positivi sulla vita quotidiana, sulle relazioni e sull’apprendimento di bambini con disturbi dello spettro autistico. Come conclusione al lavoro svolto verrà quindi presentato il metodo Montessori, ponendo l’attenzione sulle modalità di conduzione con i bambini ASD. Successivamente verranno analizzate le pratiche raccomandate e i principi dell’educazione montessoriana, con le relative tecniche utilizzabili, poiché molto efficaci e attuabili con tali soggetti.
