Il sistema produttivo tessile biellese e l'applicazione dell'Industria 4.0

The paper aims to represent the evolution of the textile and wool industry in the territory of Biella, with particular reference to the changes brought to the industrial landscape with the advent of the Industrial Revolution. The analysis of the history of the city of Biella recalls the close link between it and the processing of wool, where the first textile machines on a national level were inserted. Looking back at the industrial revolutions, it emerges how Industry 4.0 brings changes to the industrial landscape bringing improvements but also company closures. The application of Industry 4.0, in the wool and textile sector of Biella, brings significant improvements on the production and organizational side, bringing to light the need to implement the machinery and the production system.

L’elaborato si pone l’obiettivo di rappresentare l’evoluzione nel territorio biellese dell’industria tessile e laniera con particolare riferimento ai cambiamenti portati nel panorama industriale con l’avvento delle Rivoluzioni Industriali. L’analisi della storia della città di Biella richiama lo stretto legame tra essa e la lavorazione della lana, dove vengono inserite le prime macchine tessili a livello nazionale. Ripercorrendo le rivoluzioni industriali emerge come l’industria 4.0 porta cambiamenti nel panorama industriale portando miglioramenti ma anche chiusure aziendali. L’applicazione dell’Industria 4.0, nel settore laniero e tessile biellese, porta significativi miglioramenti dal lato produttivo e organizzativo, facendo emergere la necessità di implementare i macchinari e il sistema produttivo.
