DISCUTERE DI 'AMBIENTE' IN AFRICA ORIENTALE. Sfide a confronto fra politiche governative e movimenti artistici e letterari.

This thesis aims to show how climate change issues are treated and influence various artistic forms in East Africa, especially in Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda, interacting with the social and political changes of these nations. The aim of this thesis is to show how the ecological message and environmental activism is represented in literature, ludic and artistic arts. Explaining how these representations serve to push the population to live more sustainably. A further objective of this thesis is to show how the environmental discourse was moved from within and what kind of information is given by Africans to Africans.

La presente tesi vuole mostrare come le tematiche del cambiamento climatico vengono trattate ed influenzano varie forme artistiche dell’Africa orientale, specialmente in Tanzania, Kenya ed Uganda, interagendo con i mutamenti sociali e politici di queste nazioni. L’obiettivo di questa tesi è quella di mostrare come il messaggio ecologico e l’attivismo ambientale viene rappresentato nella letteratura, nelle arti ludiche e artistiche; e come queste rappresentazioni servano per spingere la popolazione a vivere in modo più sostenibile. Un ulteriore obiettivo di questa tesi è quello di mostrare come dall’interno fosse mosso il discorso ambiente e che tipo di informazioni vengono date dagli africani agli africani.
