Outdoor education e il bambino esploratore

This dissertation lays the foundation for the outdoor education method and the “child explorer” concept. This project goes through the stages that have led to the creation of outdoor education and highlights the characteristics of this education method. Furthermore, it brings out the notion of the “child explorer” and underlines the importance of the outdoor method in providing an education for sustainable development. Finally, the dissertation shows the cases of two Italian schools that have implemented the outdoor education method: the kindergarten “asilo nel bosco” and the farmhouse “RaglioDiLuna”, the latter is located in Sezzadio (Alessandria).

Il mio elaborato pone le basi sulla metodologia educativa dell’outdoor education e sull’immagine del bambino esploratore. La tesi attraversa le tappe storiche che hanno portato alla nascita dell’outdoor education, evidenzia le caratteristiche della metodologia educativa, riporta l’immagine del bambino esploratore e sottolinea l’importanza che l’outdoor education riserva all’educazione allo sviluppo sostenibile. Infine, la tesi mostra due esempi di scuole italiane che utilizzano la metodologia educativa dell’outdoor education: l’asilo nel bosco e la cascina RaglioDiLuna di Sezzadio (AL).
