This dissertation will scrutinise the perception and implementation of the principle of territoriality and its effect on Intellectual Property laws. Specifically, the investigation will focus on the implementation and procedure of the principle of territoriality and its impact on each unique intellectual property legal system via magnifying the disputes involving intellectual property infringements within the United States of America. In addition, a meticulous followthrough on Intellectual property infringements and disputes in a handful of conceivably, but still diverse or equivalent legal systems that seem to have sizable investment and trade ties among themselves. This dissertation will also be utilised as a comparative examination, providing a focused outlook on intellectual property laws and the legal systems anchored beneath them in many European nations and the United States of America. In order to fully cement the morale behind this study, cases within the United States, the United Kingdom and Italy will be assessed and compared, highlighting critical aspects of intellectual property rights at a domestic and international level. In totality, the combination of a historical follow-through, an inspection of the territoriality principle and what it entails, along with current intellectual property cases between three countries with contrasting jurisdictions, will be utilised to maximise the scope of the readers' absorption of this topic.
