The aim of this two-part study was to find alternative methods in the treatment of eating disorders. Scientific articles are used in the first part to describe eating disorders according to DSM 5, their prevention, the difference between the eating disorders of male and female patients, examining drop-out and therapeutic alliance and mind theory for patients with anorexia nervosa. The second part of the study examines various rehabilitation methodologies regarding eating disorders in patients aged between 15 and 35, without chronicity histories, with particular attention on anorexia nervosa in-patients and any eventual criticisms evidenced by the scientific articles. The aim was to observe alternative rehabilitation methodologies which move away from a mere re-nutrition.
