This dissertation reports on a study of Anglicisms in job postings retrieved from two domain-specific corpora collected from French and Spanish websites dedicated to job hunting. The two corpora were collected with the aid of the WebBootCaT instrument available in the Sketch Engine suite. The results consisted in two lists of Anglicisms, one for the French language with sixteen terms, and one for Spanish with nineteen terms. Out of these first results, we selected two Anglicisms that proved highly prolific, manager and assistant, and analysed them according to their presence in the dictionaries, form, meaning and their equivalents in the European languages. Data shows that even though the presence of Anglicisms in French and Spanish job postings is easily proven, the occurrences of their semantic equivalents is still higher.
