¿Abenomics¿: focus on Japan's economy and effects on financial markets

The focus of this paper is to shed light on the effectiveness of the package of reforms undertaken by Japan is the past two years. It will be analyzed how Japan's economy entered the peculiar economic situation in which it lives. Questions will be posed on why the situation became structural after the 1990/1 financial bubbles. After looking in greater detail on what reforms are to be implemented, this paper will try to measure the performances of the ¿Abenomics¿ and seeks to give opinion on whether it has posed the basis for a sustainable economic growth and if it has been successful in breaking the deflationary vortex.
