“Circa Perusinum autem murum sacrificans”, Indagine su una possibile «evocatio» presso Perusia

Starting from the analysis of the conflict known as Bellum Perusinum, the study aims to investigate whether an "evocatio" may have occurred at the walls of the city of Perusia in 41-40 BC. by a young Octavian. The analysis of contemporary sources has in fact the intent to seek evidence in support of the thesis, which sees the fulfillment of the aforementioned rite in a new context, that is in a city now subjected to Rome and in the process of Romanization. ​

Partendo dall'analisi del conflitto conosciuto come Bellum Perusinum lo studio si propone di investigare se possa essersi verificata una «evocatio» presso le mura della città di Perusia nel 41-40 a.C. ad opera di un giovane Ottaviano. L'analisi di fonti coeve ha come intento infatti quello di ricercare testimonianze a sostegno della tesi, la quale vede il realizzarsi del sopracitato rito in un contesto nuovo, ovvero in una città ormai sottomessa a Roma e ormai in via di romanizzazione.
