L'euritmia: l'arte che trasforma il suono in movimento.

Eurythmy, the art that transforms sound into movement, was developed by the anthroposophical philosopher Rudolf Steiner together with the first eurythmists starting from the 10s of the Twentieth Century. It was born in the anthroposophical territory where, over the years, it has remained a recluse because it’s frequented only by those who belong to this philosophical movement artificially considered opposite to the official culture. In reality, this art presents a lot of possibilities for each one; its applications go from the artistic to the pedagogical - educational also reaching to the therapeutic one. It would be still possible to collect the nutritious fruits that grow in eurythmic gardens, but it’s necessary to show the artistic identity of eurythmy and not just the anthroposophical one. This research spans the birth and development of this art of movement by studying the texts that contain the main conferences held by Steiner on the subject. Finally thanks to the story of Francesca Gatti, an Italian eurythmist still active today, the possibility of updating the eurythmic research placing it, always maintaining its identity, in areas other than exclusively anthroposophical ones.

L’euritmia, l’arte che trasforma il suono in movimento, venne elaborata dal filosofo antroposofo Rudolf Steiner insieme alle prime euritmiste a partire dagli anni Dieci del Novecento. Essa nacque nel territorio antroposofico dove, nel corso degli anni, è rimasta reclusa poiché frequentata soltanto da coloro che appartengono a tale movimento filosofico artificiosamente considerato opposto alla cultura ufficiale. In realtà quest’arte presenta molteplici possibilità per ciascuno di noi; le sue applicazioni spaziano dall’ambito artistico a quello pedagogico-educativo fino a quello terapeutico. Tutt’ora sarebbe possibile raccogliere i nutrienti frutti che crescono nei giardini euritmici, ma occorre portare alla luce l’identità artistica dell’euritmia e non solo quella antroposofica. Questa ricerca attraversa la nascita e lo sviluppo dell'arte del movimento euritmico studiando i testi che racchiudono le principali conferenze sull’argomento tenute da Steiner. Infine grazie al racconto di Francesca Gatti, un’euritmista italiana tutt’ora attiva, viene dimostrata la possibilità di attualizzare la ricerca euritmica collocandola in ambiti diversi da quelli esclusivamente antroposofici pur mantenendo la sua identità.
