La parola al corpo: il linguaggio non verbale

The following dissertation deals with body language in its many forms. The first chapter of the paper focuses on a brief introduction on the concept of diversity and differences, and then move on to theories on culture elaborated over the years, ending with theories on ethnocentrism and the definition of cultural relativism. The second chapter focuses on mimicry and emotions, and then move on to the prossemic theory (human and animal) elaborated by the English anthropologist Hall in the 60s, concluding with the various concepts of privacy for the English, German, and Japanese populations. The third and final chapter deals with the concept of habitus and corporeity, passing to the description of the anthropo-poietic categories of fashions elaborated by the anthropologist Francesco Remotti. The final part focuses on the study of anthropologists Parrott and Miller that took place in a district of London for a year. The purpose of the study would be to highlight the way men express themselves through what they possess. The common denominator is culture, of which we have always been children, a culture that must be studied and discovered to better know ourselves and others.

La seguente dissertazione verte sul linguaggio del corpo nelle sue molteplici forme. Il primo capitolo dell'elaborato si concentra su una breve introduzione sulle diversità, per poi passare alle teorie sulla cultura elaborate negli anni, terminando con le teorie sull' etnocentrismo e la definizione di relativismo culturale. Il secondo capitolo si incentra sulla mimica e le emozioni, per poi passare alla teoria sulla prossemica (umana ed animale) elaborata dall' antropologo inglese Hall negli anni '60, concludendo con i vari concetti di privacy per le popolazione inglese, tedesca, e giapponese. Il terzo ed ultimo capitolo verte sul concetto di habitus e corporeità, passando alla descrizione delle categorie di mode antropo-poietiche elaborate dall'antropologo Francesco Remotti. La parte conclusiva si focalizza, invece, sullo studio degli antropologi Parrott e Miller svoltosi in un quartiere di Londra, per un anno. Lo scopo dello studio sarebbe porre in evidenza il modo in cui gli uomini si esprimono attraverso ciò che possiedono. Il comune denominatore è la cultura, di cui da sempre siamo figli, cultura che deve essere studiata e scoperta per conoscere meglio noi stessi e gli altri.
