The financial statement and performance analysis before and after the covid-19 pandemic: The juventus case and the football teams listed on the stock exchange

In this thesis I'm going to discuss about the financial situation of Juventus, an italian football club, and Manchester United, an english football club, which are both listed on the stock exchange. Since the thesis focuses mainly on juvenuts, I started with a brief history of the club, its titles won, with the relative value of the prizes, and the ownership structure. Then I introduced the history of the stock exchange listing of football teams, and then I focused on Juventus and Manchester United, comparing the two teams according to different factors. I compared their financial and performance situation, giving a lot of space to the different sources of earnings of a football club. Then I compared the budget ratios, analyzing the main ones. In the next chapter I talked about the performance of the two teams on the stock market, both before and after the collapse of March 2020, highlighting the different variations. Still speaking of the covid 19 pandemic, I highlighted the economic losses of Manchester United, as Juventus have not yet approved and filed the new financial statements. to conclude, I talked about how Juventus, from relegation to Serie B, managed to build a solid and competitive club, leader in many fields, including extra-football, and becoming the example to follow for many football clubs.
