The aim of this work is to give a description of the dimension of alexithymia in wich are considered different perspectives. In particular, the attention focuses on the psychodynamic perspective and the psychosomatic perspective. The first chapter introduces alexithymia describing his symptomatic peculiarity, its organic patterns, and the main scales used for the diagnostic valutation. The second part of the work explores the biomedical point of view and the clinical possibilities offered by a psychosomatic approach; then it's described the psycodynamic perspective, the role of attachment in the developement of affect regulation skills, and the possible way to start a psychotherapy in case of ''silent feelings''. Conclusion want to find the link between the two perspectives, underlying the role of the psychologist in clinical care.
