The thesis aims at giving/to give an overview of the approaches that the automotive sector is taking to decrease its emissions. Many people are not currently aware of the urgent need for ''decarbonisation'' to which we should be subjected to, as well as of the effective alternatives that already exist. The goal of this work is to provide useful and detailed information about current technologies and those which will be developed in the future, not only looking at the benefits, but also at the defects each alternative presents. In addition, since the most important point of this transition is to create a universal cooperation among all countries, a careful look at the political aspect is given, with further considerations about how the current global situation can affect this fragile change coming into effect.

Abstract
The thesis aims at giving/to give an overview of the approaches that the automotive sector is taking to decrease its emissions. Many people are not currently aware of the urgent need for ''decarbonisation'' to which we should be subjected to, as well as of the effective alternatives that already exist. The goal of this work is to provide useful and detailed information about current technologies and those which will be developed in the future, not only looking at the benefits, but also at the defects each alternative presents. In addition, since the most important point of this transition is to create a universal cooperation among all countries, a careful look at the political aspect is given, with further considerations about how the current global situation can affect this fragile change coming into effect.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
