IL RUOLO DELLA DONNA ROMANA NELL'ETA' ARCAICA: LA FAMIGLIA PATRIARCALE TRADIZIONALE

My paper aims to analyze the position of the Roman woman in the archaic age, that is, in the trees of Roman civilization. We will analyze the characteristic society of the time or the patriarchal society strongly centered on the male figure, the center of all interest. We will also talk about the Roman marriage and the different forms that the Roman marriage could take and then focus on the evolution of the latter. Finally, the paper will focus on the situation and role of the Roman woman within the patriarchal society if we consider the public sphere and on the private sphere of the woman with the family. The study carried out will focus particularly on this last sphere written above by analyzing the woman in the traditional Roman patriarchal family.

Il mio elaborato si prefiggere di analizzare la posizione della donna romana nell'età arcaica, ovvero agli arbori della civiltà romana. Si andrà ad analizzare inizialmente la società caratteristica del tempo ovvero la società patriarcale fortemente incentrata sulla figura maschile, centro di ogni interesse. Si parlerà anche del matrimonio romano e delle diverse forme che il matrimonio romano poteva assumere per poi concentrarsi sull'evoluzione di quest'ultimo. Infine, lo scritto andrà a concentrarsi sulla situazione e il ruolo della donna romana all'interno della società patriarcale se si va a considerare la sfera pubblica e sulla sfera privata della donna con la familia. Lo studio effettuato si concentrerà particolarmente su quest'ultima sfera sopra scritta analizzando la donna nella tradizionale famiglia patriarcale romana.
