The goal of the script is to analyse the information and operations entered into the balance sheet of five companies quoted on Italy AIM Stock Exchange market which belong to mutually different fields, then assessing the clearness of their budget entry. Next, we have calculated a series of asset indexes with the information published by the sample companies referring to 2018, such as leverage, EBIT, ROA (Return on Assets). Finally, we have also analysed the organization and composition of administrative bodies, such as Board of Directors, and controlling bodies such as the Board of Statutory Auditors as well as the auditing firms. Checking the completeness and clearness of the information is important because, as for the companies quoted on the Stock Exchange, the external stakeholders' main analysis tool is the balance sheet. The clearer the balance sheet, the more the potential investors are able to understand the situation of a company and make decisions. After having carefully studied the balance sheet of the five companies, we have entered the data in a single database, so as to draw conclusions, compare the various companies and give subjective assessments on the operations carried out, particularly with subsidiaries, associates, the management or other employees, transactions concerning retirement plans or other related parts.
