This dissertation aims to explore the topic of Minimum Income, a key tool in social policy, important in fighting poverty and social exclusion. We will analyse the state of MI in Europe, its adequacy in fighting deprivation and the trends in its use throughout the past twenty years, with a specific focus on the impact of the last economic crisis. Then, we will present the results of an econometric study and draw some conclusions on this topic.
