EMILIO LEPETIT INDUSTRIALE E SOCIALISTA

Emilio Lepetit was born in Milan in 1869. Heir of the well-known Lepetit family, a leader brand in the chemicals and pharmaceutical industry, he is not very famous . He studied at the University of Florence ( Italy) where he graduated in 1891. The topic he chose for his final dissertation was the phenomena of Socialism. The peculiarity of this issue, above all considering the background of the author, and the time when it was written, made me decide to go further and investigate the matter. In my work I've tried to reconstruct the facts of his life and ideas while analyzing his essay ¿ About Socialism¿.

Emilio Lepetit, nato a Milano nel 1869, è un personaggio poco conosciuto. Erede della famosa famiglia Lepetit, leader nell'industria farmaceutica si laureò a Firenze nel 1891. La sua tesi di laurea ha come argomento il Socialismo. La particolarità dell'argomento trattato, considerato il background dell'autore , ed il tempo in cui essa fu redatta, suscita certamente il desiderio di approfondire. In questo lavoro si cerca di ricostruire la vita ed il pensiero di questo personaggio poco noto analizzando il suo saggio ¿ Del Socialismo¿ ed alcuni testi scritti in età più matura.
