Integrazione dei rifugiati: il caso di Torino

To this end it is necessary to clarify the need for a policy-oriented way is inserted in a context of broader interventions that can ricomprenderne among the beneficiaries that elevated number of people today are looking for protection, unfit to be qualified as refugees under the narrow definition of the Geneva Convention. That said, you will try during the discussion herein to describe and analyze how this issue is currently addressed in Italy trying to grasp the basic guidelines and the fundamental role that local authorities, and more generally local communities, have in the success of the integration process of refugees. Starting from the very definition of a refugee in the first chapter we will examine the international legal framework, in particular the European way, and the conditioning that by this they have produced about sorting Italian bringing back also to the recent developments taken place in recent months. With schematic analysis it will be described also with the Italian system of protection for asylum seekers and refugees and the trend of migration flows of the last decade. In the second chapter we will enter more into the matter of our interest through the analysis of the concept of integration and then later present, briefly, as this is declined depending on the trends of public policies adopted in recent decades by different States. Next, we come to deal specifically what are the tools that the Italian state defines to meet the needs of integration of refugees and what the role attributed to local authorities in this process. In this regard, the last chapter will attempt to analyze the additional policies implemented by the City of Turin trying to describe its potential and at the same time limits.
