Luoghi dell'informe

"Formless" is a key-word in the thought of Georges Bataille, who sets it to work in the pages of "Documents" as a process of degradation of the Form. This process concerns a peculiar "non-savoir" which expresses itself through language and especially images: for this reason, Georges Didi-Huberman linked the formless to a "visual knowledge" and explored its power to disturb the field of representation. Formless nonetheless may display an immanentistic view of reality by abolishing the hierarchical connections of representation and giving birth to a new dimension of visible.
