Analisi delle performance economico-finanziarie dei grandi family business in Piemonte: una valutazione a livello di settore e di provincia

This research thesis aims to understand if it is true that the family businesses, in times of crisis, have superior economic and financial performance than other companies. Therefore the analysis focuses on the Piedmont large family businesses in the 2012-2014 period, evaluating them both at the industry level and at the provincial level. So it was examined the scientific literature to see what influence the company's results and it is a quantitative research data type are extracts from the AIDA database. Now these data have been processed and expanded in order to calculate the various economic indicators and profitability so as to be able to measure and compare the performance of the Piedmont companies both familiar and not, all supported by a statistical analysis of the data. The outcome of the research was that the familiars businesses perform better in terms of profitability, but have a lower turnover than non-family businesses, also they have been able to react better to the crisis by continuing to grow. This is due to the particular aspects that characterize the family businesses. In conclusion the most virtuous is that the province of Cuneo with greater turnover, profitability and workers. The sector in which this type of company is most common is that of trade.

Questa Tesi di ricerca ha come scopo quello di capire se è effettivamente vero che le imprese familiari, in tempo di crisi, hanno performance economico-finanziare superiori rispetto alle altre imprese. Per tanto l'analisi si concentra sulle aziende di famiglia piemontesi di grandi dimensioni nel triennio 2012-2014, valutandole sia a livello di settore che a livello di provincia. È stata perciò esaminata la letteratura scientifica in materia per capire cosa influenza i risultati aziendali e dato che si tratta di una ricerca di tipo quantitativo i dati sono stai estratti dal database AIDA (Analisi Informatizzata delle Aziende Italiane). A questo punto i suddetti dati sono stati elaborati ed ampliati per poter calcolare diversi indicatori economici e di redditività così da poter misurare e mettere a confronto le performance delle imprese piemontesi sia familiari che non, il tutto supportato da un'analisi statistica dei dati. L'esito della ricerca è stato che le imprese di famiglia hanno performance migliori in termini di redditività ma hanno un fatturato inferiore rispetto alle imprese non familiari, inoltre hanno saputo reagire meglio alla crisi continuando a crescere, questo è dovuto agli aspetti particolari che caratterizzano le aziende di famiglia. Concludendo la provincia più virtuosa risulta essere quella di Cuneo con maggiore fatturato, redditività e lavoratori ed il settore in cui questo tipo d'impresa è più diffuso è quello del commercio.
