In many contexts, a multitude of application platforms are used. Such softwares are all different from the point of view of the usage and they are continuously changing, due to evolutions. Because of these reasons, the usability of the platforms suffers from the understanding of the new features as well as from having to re-learn how to work with a new user interface. The goal of this thesis is to present a solution based on a platform that provides all the main features of a general software suite, that is, a set of applications, using them but making them independent from the software providing them, so that such platform does not change if some modifications are applied to the suite implementation. Moreover, this application joins the features of more softwares in a single and easy-to-use graphical interface, so that it is easier to use together the features coming from different softwares. The proposed application is an ADF application and its name is Software Simplification Platform. It is a prototype developed in the Kernel Networks enterprise in Paris and it has been designed to provide a solution to simplify the Oracle identity management suite and to be easily (programmatically) customizable according to the needs of a specific enterprise. In other words, one can start from this prototype to make a custom application providing the needed features and using the needed softwares, in particular for the Oracle identity management software suite. This particular choice of suite was made because the identity management (a branch of the security) is one of the main fields of the Kernel Networks enterprise. Our work presents how the Unified Process procedure was customized and exploited to develop the application.
