This thesis delves into the intricate relationship between religious freedom and LGBT rights within the European legal framework. It explores the multifaceted ways in which courts and national legal systems navigate these two foundational rights, both of which are integral to European societies. Through a detailed analysis of case law from key European judicial institutions, such as the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) and the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU), this study addresses how these rights have been interpreted and applied in differing contexts across Europe.
