The R3B collaboration at the GSI laboratory performs studies regarding nuclear structure and the dynamics of nuclear reactions, using unstable nuclei. A main component of the setup that will be used for such studies is the neutron detector NeuLAND, which performs high resolution measurements of time and position of relativistic neutrons, adding also calorimetric properties. The measurements of time and energy need to be properly calibrated. This thesis describes the algorithm used to find the parameters for the calibration. The data used for this purpose have been obtained during the SOFIA experiment, a test experiment with a demonstrator (i.e. part of) NeuLAND.
